Home - Photo Tech - Equipment reviews
The following reviews are meant to give you an idea about how various pieces of photo equipment perform in real life shootings.Photography is very technical by nature and digital photography depends even more on technology. I realize that most of the information about photography today treats the technical side, usually at the expense of other very important aspects as composition, real life shooting, lighting, to name only a few of them. But if treated right, our love for good cameras and fast lenses can in the end save us a lot of money. But only if we choose wisely what to get in the first place. In this digital era the camera body is much more than a sophisticated black box which contains the film and allows a lens to be mounted. The digital sensor is of utmost importance to the quality of images and this makes choosing the right camera really important. Than come the lenses. They are as important to the image quality as the camera's sensor and with the huge number of lenses available we are going to spend a fortune and end up with a full cupboard if we don't pay attention right from the beginning. These reviews represent my personal opinions, based on my experience as a photographer with the equipment reviewed. So your conclusions might differ from mine. If you need pure technical reviews there are a lot of specialized sites where you will find a lot of tables and charts, here you will get only user experiences in real life, and no brick walls images.
